It is a fairly easy and well signposted path.. The trail is not too challenging, It is particularly suitable for families with children. You will walk through the Turia River Canyon. Although it is a Mediterranean river and water is scarce, there are several places to swim.

The first leg of the trip will take you from the main square of the town to the quiet beauty of “El Charco Azul”.

When leaving town, you will find yourself walking between small fields of carob trees (carob trees), a traditional Mediterranean crop. Next, towards the Turia river, two imposing rocks appear. To the right the Rock of Mosen, (La Peña Mosen), on the left, the back of the Castle hill. In front of you the cliff of “La Punta”.

There is a canal that runs parallel to the river. You can follow the channel (not recommended for children) or take the river path.

The riverside track, will take you to Peña Judía, a natural pool in the Turia river, which is not too deep and suitable for bathers of all levels. This is a very popular swimming spot for locals. The most adventurous walkers will have the opportunity to cross the river several times on steps. The landscape here is impressive, as along the Canyon with spectacular vertical walls of more than 80 m.

El Charco Azul is a large natural pool formed by the river. The river reaches Charco through the narrowest part of the Canyon, where there is a small dam. In the past there was no dam, and this point was known as the “Stretch of Chulilla”, a dangerous waterfall, especially for the lumberjacks who decades ago used the river to transport trees from the western regions to the city of Valencia. The walkway in the wall was built for control and maintenance purposes of the dam. The last flood broke it, we do not recommend using. Swimming is possible, although only for experienced swimmers.

Back to town, We will walk down the river to the Peña Judia. You have to cross two small bridges along the route. Now it's surrounding the base of castle hill. While we walk, we see small cultivated gardens. These are the oldest in the city and have been worked since the Moors.

A huge cave in the mountain, “The Gollisno Cave”, It was used in the past as a goat corral and to the left, the “Cerro Frailecico”. It is possible to access both by a recently new track.

There are two more pools along the river, the “Fuente las Canales” and the “Remanso Las Mulas”. They are easily identified by the long trees that grow on their banks., so both are highly recommended for a stopover., rest for a while and refresh yourself with a bath, especially on hot days.

Following the trail, you will notice that the Canyon opens forming a valley, The gardens get bigger and the mountains not so steep. Above is the east side of the city, we are almost at the end of the track.

Walking through the steep streets we will reach our destination, the main square of the town. Once there, It's time to rest and have a drink in one of the bars.
